iPark, a leading mobility company in Spain and Portugal, has solidified its position as one of the key players in the Iberian Peninsula’s parking sector. Over the past year, the company has increased its network of parking facilities by 18% and the number of managed parking spaces by 12%.
Specifically, iPark grew from managing 55 parking facilities in 2023 to 65 in 2024, expanding its operational capacity from 28,000 to 31,260 spaces. This growth has been driven by strategic acquisitions across the Iberian Peninsula, including key regions such as the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.
In Spain, the company has strengthened its presence through strategic acquisitions. In Palma de Mallorca, it acquired land for the construction of a 19,700 m² parking facility with 900 spaces and potential for future expansion. In Granada, iPark secured the concession for the “Antiguo Estadio de los Cármenes” parking lot, adding 791 spaces to its existing three parking facilities in the city. The company also expanded into San Sebastián with the acquisition of the Arcco Amara parking lot, which offers 230 spaces.
In Portugal, iPark expanded its footprint with two major projects: the Cais de Gaia parking facility and the opening of the Bonjardim parking lot in Porto. The latter, inaugurated in November 2024, recorded 13,073 vehicles in its first month, highlighting the high demand for infrastructure in Porto’s city centre.
Sustainable Mobility and Innovation: A Growing Commitment
In 2024, iPark reinforced its commitment to sustainability, technological innovation and customer service excellence, reaching a total of 170 operational electric vehicle chargers. Looking ahead to 2025, the company plans to install at least 137 new charging points, further promoting cleaner and more efficient mobility. These initiatives aim not only to reduce carbon emissions but also to encourage the adoption of sustainable and responsible technologies.
Currently, there are over 35 million registered vehicles in Spain and more than 6 million in Portugal. Both countries recorded a historic high in vehicle registrations in 2024, with over one million new vehicles in Spain and nearly 200,000 in Portugal. Among them, electric vehicles continue to gain traction, especially in Portugal, where government incentives have driven adoption. However, charging infrastructure remains a challenge, and iPark is determined to lead in this area.

Outlook for 2025
Looking ahead, iPark will continue expanding its parking network through acquisitions, new constructions and concessions, while also strengthening its electric charging infrastructure. The company will further integrate new technologies to optimise daily operations and enhance customer experience.
Through these initiatives, iPark aims to position itself as a key player in transforming the mobility sector in the Iberian Peninsula, reaffirming its commitment to a more sustainable and innovative model.
